Colour Manipulation
A technique we are pretty certain of using within our video is colour manipulation. We believe this is a useful tool to represent how our characters are feeling and add a certain atmosphere to the shot. For example when our character is in a sad, depressed state of mind we may give the shot a blue tint or make it darker to hint to the audience what he/she may be feeling. Obviously some colours have certain connotations so it should be easy to understand what we're trying to achieve.
Another way in which we are going to use it is to indicate dfifferent time frames, when we are going to have flashbacks of our two characters the colour will change to show that it is the past not present.
Below is an example of colour manipulation within a music video. In this instance it isn't necessarily used for same the same reason we are using it but still uses the technique to create a certain feeling.
